howdy, nameās quartz. i make a variety of stuff, but my primary is drum n bass.
my most used baby audio plugin is easily the ba-1. i shill it to all my friends. top tier synth
favorite color is rose quartz this month (it changes every month)
pineapple on pizza is okay, though iād never try it. not the biggest fan of pineapple.
Hi ! my name is XenicleX from France !
Iām doesnāt stick on one type off music style but I really like the Synthwave ! (If you want to discover some of my work donāt hesitate to go to my Soundcloud !)
My favorite BA plugin is Smooth Operator Pro ! (but I like Atoms as instrument)
Outside of music I like to play games with friend and as a professional Iām a Computer Technician and a Developer.
My strange thing : I have switched to linux ! And trying to use it for music production.
Pineapple on pizza? Yeah sure ! Iām Open-minded !
Howdy folks, Iām Drew; though my music moniker is Volt Mother. Pleasure to virtually share this space with you all.
Iām not entirely sure what it is that I create anymore, and Iāve come to really lean into that I think. I feel like most folks who listen to my work would say itās very darksynth/synthwave adjacent, and generally gets attention in those circles. I really enjoy exploring different worlds and aesthetics with my sound, and am greatly inspired by my favorite video games- not just their OSTs, but more so the worlds they create and the experiences they bring a player through. Iām also live on Twitch under the name Drewcifur every Tue, Thurs, and Sunday, hanging with my little community and digging into cool and niche games, or giving sneak peeks of WIPs!
Iāve been a longtime fan of Baby Audioās killer DSP and interfaces, and couldnāt imagine a production without using them. My most used BA piece is a close race between Super VHS and Crystalline though. Itās probably Super VHS, that damn Heat knobā¦
Favorite color tends to be drabby, muddy greens. And truthfully, Iāve never tried pineapple on pizza before.. but it doesnāt sound like something Iād ask for.
Looking forward to the forumās future and getting to know you folks.
Hey everyone, Iām Tim, and I often go by the username Karhide on sites. Iāve been making music for a long time and now try to work on new music most days. My main job is in web development and work for an environmental research institute.
My favourite Baby Audio plugin is Taip plus I think I own all the plugins.
If you want to listen to some music this is a good start:
If you want to dig a bit deeper thereās currently 2,976 minutes of music uploaded here:
No to pineapple on pizza but if you enjoy it go for it!
Hey! My name is Andrew and I write as Myagi. Iāve been working with synths since i was 15, and since im 46 that makes it officially a long time.
As Myagi I have done lots of work over the years with some pretty cool people, be that remixes, collaborations, touring or sound design - some stuff Iāve dome with the BA crew has been out there in the form of Factory presets for humanoid and transit 2, and there is more forthcoming. I love the BA stuff, its slick, incredibly well designed and hits sweet spots easily.
I also just dropped my third album, which you can check on all normal outlets - its called The World Of Tomorrow.
Iām probably most proud of my remixes for Orbital and The Crystal Method.
Iām Asa, and I do Artist Relations at Baby Audio. I primarily make 80s-inspired pop but also make tracks in pop rock, electronic, and everything in between.
My most used plugin is BA-1 but a couple honorable mentions for me are Transit 2 and Super VHS.
Favorite color is forest green and pineapple does not belong with savory flavors, Iām sorry, but Iām also not.
I look forward to interacting with you all on here
EDIT: You can find my music on Instagram @asaamusic btw ;)
Hi, Iām Wintour, I am based in the UK and I am primarily a producer. I make many genres but mostly focus on UK style Dubstep and Drum & Bass / Jungle. Iām an avid sound designer and an enjoyer of Baby Audioās devices! if I had to choose only one itād be Transit 2, that thing is so useful and versatile! Though, a close second would be atoms; sound scapes have never been so easy.
Hey there guys! My name is Matt, and Iām a professional mixing/mastering/recording/live sound engineer out of the NYC area and a proud BA and Denise beta tester. Iām happy to chat with anyone to help answer questions, work together, bounce ideas off of, whatever! Feel free to hit me for anything you like.
Let me see if I can answer these in the order listed:
My name is g - I have several aliases out there but I donāt really want to plug myself or my flailing music projects :) Iād rather just talk about what I think of BA and what makes their tools so great :) Maybe sometime in the future iāll share some shameful self promotion but until then, iām here to just discuss BA :)
I previous had made house/disco/techno records, standard format occasionally with some downtempo breakbeat stuff but effectively a techy-style-groovy sort of music, leveraging Juno 60, 106, Jupiter 8, Moog, etc sounds. Along with standard Drum machines of the 80s (Linn, 909/808/727/707, DR-55, various mixed and matched)
Now iām more into making music that I really want to hear, rather than produce music meant for DJs or āThe Floorā ā That said, iām working on more Lofi and experimental things and I find that itās so freeing not feeling boxed into a certain style or format. BA tools help with this in a major way.
My most used plugin, is likely Magic Dice (I always reach for that one) ā Even though I own the majority of the BA catalog, itās just the first jump point for me, due to (what I can only guess?) is filtered delay with some additional magic under the hood.
Favorite Color, likely blue.
Pineapple always on pizza, I know I know. (My background heritage invented pizza, if that helps provide additional color) ā here is a good combination if you havenāt already tried it:
Pineapple and Pepperoni.. Typically people use ham with pineapple but itās not as good as it sounds, Pine/Pep combo is for sure a winner. Contrast of sweet/tart and zing. In some cases Pine/Bacon is also good. Thatās more the sweet/tart and salty vibe.
John Arthur Grant is my real name and my ācomposerā name, but Iāve been doing neo-classical music under the name of Antoni Grzyb (Antoni G for short) for a little while.
Iāve been a pro musician for⦠how long? Letās just say that Iāve been working with MIDI for as long as it has existed, and have arranged or produced music in all sorts of seemingly-unrelated genres for most of that time.
I seem to use Smooth Op Pro in almost every project, itās really really nice. If I didnāt have so many reverbs - many of them favs - I could probably get by with just the two BA ones, theyāre also great. And I used Transit 2 recently to mangle my voice and produce some sound art, to be presented at a concert in Rome later this year. Iāve gotta spend some more time and learn more about that ap, itās a very cool thing.
Iām from Melbourne, Australia.
I avoid pizza these days, but go ahead, put pineapple on, see if I care! Just make sure itās fresh pineapple, preferably grown in Australia.
Hi everyone! My name is Bastiaan Barth, and I started out under the name Solidtrax and a few other names. I started with trackers in the late 80s/early 90s. Then came MIDI sequencers, synthesizers and more.
I had a career in IT, but my heart was crying out for music, so I switched careers and started my own company, Solidtrax, and made it my full-time job. So far, Iāve had the pleasure of working with fantastic people and companies, and itās been a privilege to work on BA products, especially in quality assurance, consulting, and preset design. Iāve worked on the BA-1, Atoms, Humanoid, Transit 1 and 2, and other cool products from Denise Audio.
I composed all kinds of music from gabber to cinematic and synthwave to techno or IDM. I also like to create a complete track with just one synthesizer.
My most used BA plugin is probably Transit, but BA-1 comes a close second.
I am new and canāt seem to start my own post in this forum or install the plugins in my DAW I am hoping someone on this page sees this and helps me out. I installed the manager then installed the plugin then when it comes to adding the plugin into the dawā¦then what? I can not seem to do this. I am looking at the plugin manager in the daw and itās nowhere to be found. Suggestion anyone?
The BA Manager is a standalone app, installed alongside your other applications. You can open it outside of your DAW to download, install, and activate your plugins. Once thatās done, just open your DAW and youāll be ready to go. Be sure the manager app is running in the background.
Thank you for responding sadly I do have the manager open and do have the DAW open and I am seeing nothing no plugins to use accept the ones that came with my Daw Sonar 1x. I think i am missing something personally. Where is it exactly in the Daw so you can add it to the vocals. i am not seeing any new effects showing up anywhere in the Daw at all. Suggestions?
