Stability issue with freq analysis MIDI mode?

Hello,

Your plugin Subculture is really great, thank you for it!

That said, I think I’ve found a stability issue when MIDI mode (freq analysis) is activated with a MIDI instrument (Trillian in this case).

It crashes my current session almost systematically after a few seconds, without any obvious reason, after a certain amount of manipulation, even though I don’t see any performance or memory spikes on my computer (Windows 11) or in Cubase (Cubase Pro 15), most often when I close the plugin window.

If I don’t touch anything after restarting the session with the last settings, no crash occurs, which suggests that manipulating the plugin in freq analysis MIDI mode is what triggers the problem.

I have no issues when using it on pure audio in another session, or when I don’t activate MIDI mode in Freq Analysis (which is a bit frustrating, since the results are far better in this mode!).

Thank you!

We will be investigating this, thanks for reporting!

Can you download the new build, v1.0.3 and check if this is fixed?

Hello!

Thank you very much for this update!

Unfortunately, while it does seem to work this time when “MIDI” is enabled (on this point the bug is fixed!), the bug reappears if you switch back to “Auto” right after.

I’d also like to point out that this bug doesn’t only crash the DAW. Half the time it freezes the computer entirely and requires a restart.

Can you write support@babyaud.io and provide a screen recording if possible?

I’m not able to reproduce what you’re mentioning, so we’ll need to further investigate.

I just sent you an email with a video!
