Being a new user, I’m not able to upload directly, so here’s a Google Drive link to a Tekno preset I made. There’s also a short audio demo:

I love old PCM drum machines that go for an acoustic sound, but don’t completely nail it, like the Alesis SR-16, Boss DR-660 and 770, and Casio RZ-1.
Because there’s an uncanny, electronic quality to them, it’s fun to see how close you can get with pure synthesis. So this is my “almost acoustic” kit in the spirit of those machines.
One kit is labeled Spaced, which has panning between 0 and 25% depending on the drum and some very short reverb (just enough to fatten/soften some sounds).
The other kit is labeled Plain. It has no panning, and while the individual drums have their reverb at the same levels, the master reverb is turned all the way down. This is so you can turn the reverb back up to taste if you feel like you need it.
Because the reverb is kept so short, both play nicely with external reverb (tested against SIR Audio’s SIR3 convolution reverb IRs, some reverbs from Wave Alchemy, and Baby Audio’s Crystalline and Spaced Out).
Enjoy!
