Transit 2 Pitch+ has no module on/off button?

Hi. Just purchased Transit 2 and am liking it a lot!

Is there a reason the Pitch+ module has no on/off button? The other Pitch mod has one, as do the others (I think?)

Just curious.

This is because of the latency that comes along with Pitch+, it’s not possible to give the same control as other fx modules. We aim to improve performance and functionality where we can in future iterations. A low latency performance mode for Transit could be cool!

Ah yes. At the time I posted, I hadn’t yet noticed the latency when using T2 to process realtime playing. Then when playing live into Reaper, and changing presets — that’s when I encountered some fairly astronomical latency. And it DID seem to be mostly in presets with Pitch+.

Ok then. I will take that into account, and look forward to future developments.

I anticipate using it mostly on a bus send for recorded tracks, so not that big a deal.

Thanks for the reply!!

A follow-up…..

Now that I think of it… why does the module having an especially long latency (which by itself is understandable) lead to it not having an on/off or bypass button? Wouldn’t it then be possible to temporarily bypass it in the chain, see how important it is to the chain’s sound, then possibly using the regular Pitch mod or another one to take the place of the high latency version, to compare the two, etc?

See what I mean? From that pov, lacking a bypass actually makes the mod more difficult to use, regardless of its latency profile.

Or am I missing something? Just curious. A very cool plugin in any case!
